After useless searching for Edmund we (me, Peter, Susan and Mr Beaver) got ready to go and meet Aslan at the Stone Table. We had to hurry because the White Witch could come here at any minute. I still can't believe that Edmund betrayed us! After all, I thought that he's a good guy. It had stopped snowing and the night was beautiful. The moon came out when we began our journey. Mr Beaver led us across the dam and on to the bank of the river and then along a path through the trees. We were walking and walking and after a long while I thought I wouldn't make it. The sack I was carrying felt heavier with every single step. I stopped for a second and I looked up at the moon. I was so tired that I almost fell asleep while we were walking. Then I saw Mr Beaver vanishing into a little hole in the ground. I went after him immediately. In a moment all of us were inside a cave. My first thought was that Mr Tumnus's cave was much nicer. But now I couldn't think about that. I fell asleep right away. When I woke up I felt very cold. And my only thoughts were about taking a hot bath. Suddenly I heard a sound of jingling bells. Mr Beaver was out of the cave. Maybe he had been caught by the Witch? It wasn't possible. He's very careful. Just a little later we heard him calling us out. He said that it's not HER. So we came out of the cave. Mr Beaver was so happy that he was almost dancing with delight. Next to Mr Beaver was standing a huge man in a red robe. He had a great white beard which was so long that fell over his chest. Behind him there was a sledge with reindeer. It was somebody that everyone knows but I had never thought that it could be possible to see him. It was Father Christmas! He brought us presents. I got a little bottle of what looked like a glass and a small dagger. He said that in this bottle there was a magical fluid that was able to restore someone who would get hurt.
